Breakfast Places for Breakfast Lovers in Davidson NC

For students at Davidson College, breakfast is served when they get out of bed—which could be 2 am or 2 pm. That’s why when you visit this charming town of Davidson half an hour from Charlotte, it’s oozing with all-day breakfast places serving eggs cooked in different varieties and greasy bacon and sausage  to satisfy any cravings. Breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day especially with the delectable dishes lovingly prepared at these restaurants.

The Egg Café

Also popularly known as The Egg Restaurant, The Egg Café is the perfect joint for breakfast lovers looking for some special egg recipes. Try their flavorful omelets or their homemade Eggs Benedict Florentine. How about the “Junkyard”, which consists of hash browns with your choice of ingredients with two eggs and cheese mixed together. If you’re into bacon, we highly recommend their mouthwatering bacon cheddar burger. Everything from their menu is made from scratch so the wait can take a little longer, but you can be sure of a hot and fresh breakfast!

Toast Café

Expect lines out the door when dining at the Toast Café because the whole town of Davidson flocks here every morning. The exterior looks like a small house but come inside and you’ll get that warm breakfast nook in a small town experience. Traditional breakfast dishes are available but with its iconic Toast version. Try the omelet with parmesan cheese, avocado, and tomato, or the peanut butter banana French toast which already sounds heavenly. When you’re looking for a quick breakfast fix, the Toast Café is your saving grace.

The Soda Shop

It’s a tradition to dine at The Soda Shop when you’re in Davidson. The small diner has been around since the 1940s and is regarded as Davidson’s first real café. Just a small warning—expect to gain a few more pounds once you’re done with their famous milkshakes, floats, and ice creams. Breakfast is only served from morning until 2 pm, but make sure to try out their build-your-own Soda Shop Breakfast. For lunch and dinner, salads, wraps, burgers, and sandwiches make up the menu.
