The Best Restaurants in Bayfield, Wisconsin

Located in northern Wisconsin on Lake Superior near Madelaine Island and the Apostle Islands, Bayfield, Wisconsin is a delightful town that attracts many visitors. Filled with parks, tourist attractions, outdoor activities, and shopping opportunities, it's also got some truly great restaurants that reflect the flavors of the Lake and the warm hospitality of the region. Here are three of Bayfield's best restaurants.

1. Old Rittenhouse Inn

The Old Rittenhouse is a bed and breakfast with a fabulous morning spread that is only topped by its dinnertime menu. Guests enter a gentler time when they walk through the doors of this converted older home with its distinctive period appointments. Plus, the views of the Lake are amazing if you are lucky enough to get seated in the front room. It's pricey, but you'll be treated to a feast fit for a gourmet.

Head here with a group to enjoy cheese, Canadian bacon delights, and more cheese flavored with the sweetest little BBQ sauce on one of the most amazing pizzas to be found for miles around. Of course, considering where Ethel's is located, the menu also includes some of the cleanest, crispest fish flavors on their delish menu, as well. Keep in mind that Ethel's is a purely seasonal restaurant, so make your reservation before they close for the winter in October of each year.
